Gillian Solly Senior Consultant, Clinical Negligence, Personal Injury
Gillian joined Davies and Partners in 2007 from a firm where she was Partner and head of the Bristol Office. She has over 25 years experience as a highly successful claimant clinical negligence and specialist personal injury lawyer.
Gillian has a national reputation for her work. She is on the Action against Medical Accidents (AvMA) referral panel and has been a Law Society’s Personal Injury panel member and assessor. She was a founder member of APIL and its first treasurer.
Gillian was Chair of Headway Bristol the brain injury association and now remains a Trustee. She sits as a part time judge of the Social Security and Child Support Tribunal.

She specialises in complex and high value claims. Laparoscopic surgery cases have been an interest since successfully claiming compensation for the patient operated on during one the first laparoscopic cholysysectomy operations performed in the UK.
Her clinical negligence practise is diverse. She handles the highest value cases for birth and profound injuries whilst also acting in lower value cases where the impact on the family may be profound but of limited financial value.
