Davies and Partners Solicitors is celebrating the promotion of Partner Mike Follis to Head up its highly successful Family and Matrimonial Department. Mike joined Davies and Partners' Birmingham city centre office 2 years ago as Senior Consultant, bringing with him a wealth of experience in family law. He helped launch the firm's new family team in Birmingham which supports clients throughout the Midlands and has enhanced the firm's existing reputation in family Law gained from its Gloucester and Bristol offices.

Despite the economic downturn the firm's family department has had a highly successful couple of years and has seen considerable growth.

Mike became Partner in 2009 and is now delighted to take on the new role as Department Head. He said "It is a privilege to head up a team of such talented individuals. We have recently recruited a senior family lawyer to join our Bristol team and our Gloucester team has taken a newly qualified Solicitor who trained with the firm. I am looking forward to providing the support and management for the department to move forward in its' continued development of quality and expertise in each of our three offices."

Mike is one of only a few qualified Collaborative Lawyers in the region. Collaborative Lawyers, can offer their clients an alternative route to avoid litigation. He is a member of Resolution (formerly the Solicitors Family Law Association) and a member of the Birmingham Family Court Business Finance Sub-Committee. He was also a former Chair of the Birmingham Law Society's Family Law Committee.
