Clinical Negligence specialist Louise Austin, at Davies and Partners Solicitors, is celebrating achieving accreditation onto the Law Society’s Clinical Negligence Panel.  Her success means the firm now has more clinical negligence accredited and panel specialists, than any other law firm in the South West.
 

Louise is the latest member of firm to be accepted onto the prestigious panel, which provides advice and assistance to clients with claims arising from medical or dental negligence matters.

Louise, who gained her first class law degree at the University of the West of England, joined Davies and Partners in 2002 as a Trainee Solicitor.  She qualified into the Clinical Negligence Department in September 2004 and has since gained a LLM (Masters Degree) in the Legal Aspects of Medical Practice.  Louise has worked on a varied case load involving a range of orthopaedic, plastic surgery and gynaecological claims.

To achieve the accreditation Louise had to make a lengthy application to the Law Society which had to be completed for the Clinical Negligence Panel, supported by extensive evidence of her work.  Louise had to demonstrate that she had sufficient experience and to submit six major case reports, plus examples of letters to clients advising on values, and settlement and expert reports.
