Clinical Negligence: How do I fund a claim

Various options are available for the funding of a claim.  These include the following:

• Legal Expense insurance policies may include a medical law claim.  Not all policies include this and some policies have specific exclusions even if generally claims are included.

• Legal Aid may be available dependent on the family’s means.  Legal Aid is usually available for children.

• Trade Union or other employee organisations sometimes provide legal expense cover similar to that of a Legal Expense insurer.

• Conditional Fee Agreements also known as a no win no fee agreement may be possible depending on the strength of the claim.
